D Rose Will Rise For the Heat

The Chicago Bulls are currently in a battle with the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs as they take a 2-1 lead in the series. Boozer and Deng both put in work against the Nets in the Game 3 victory with 22pts and 21pts respectively, but if they get passed the Nets do they have enough scoring power to take on Lebron James and the Heat? Well, sources say if the Bulls get passed the Nets Derrick Rose will lace them up.

I know what you’re thinking. How can this be? For the past two months Rose has been saying that he is not mentally and physically ready to play, even though the Bull’s team physician has cleared him to suit up. Rose consistently tell reporters that he is not ready and is not going to rush into playing before he felt comfortable, but the possibility of playing the Heat may be to enticing for Rose to pass up. But the questions that linger in my mind are: why didn’t he get some regular season games under his belt first to work on his timing and will his reentry into the lineup disrupt the Bulls current chemistry?

Sources say that Rose has been sharpening his skills through intense physical conditioning, drills, and shooting as well as playing five on five hard with the team for the past two months. Although he did not play in any regular season games his instincts are back and he’s running and dunking again. As far as messing up the current chemistry, Rose sitting out the entire regular season allowed other players to get quality minutes and has prepared the entire team to play their roles and more. With him returning the team will be energized and inspired to beat their nemesis, the Miami Heat. Knowing this information now makes me root for the Bulls to beat the Nets, so I can see Rose play this year. Go Bulls!
